GAPs Training April 2018

WHO: This GAPs (Good Agricultural Practices) training is for fruit and vegetable growers and project managers participating in the Farmers Market Aggregation Project. This training will help farmers reduce risk & maintain food safety throughout the project.

WHY: More and more schools, restaurants and institutions are buying locally produced fruits and vegetables. Producers doing business with these schools and restaurants often need some type of safety documentation to meet buyers’ requirements.  

COST: The training is FREE. Lunch arrangements will be made separately. Keep your eye on a pre-training email for details.

BONUS:  One-on-one assistance will be provided to help you get started on your farm food safety plan.

BRING: Your laptop, any farm food safety plan you have, and a map of your location.
