Renewing the Countryside hosts, partners, and sponsors many events throughout the year supporting farmers, food/beverage producers, rural entrepreneurs, and urban agriculture initiatives. 

Annual RTC hosted and sponsored events include: 
  • The MN State Fair Healthy Local Foods Exhibit: A fun-filled, interactive exhibit in the Eco Experience building learning and tasting local foods loca at the Minnesota State Fair
  • FEAST! Local Foods Marketplace: A local foods festival open to the public that showcases regional food producers
  • FEAST! Local Foods Tradeshow: An industry focused showcase of local foods geared toward wholesale buyers and local food makers
  • RTC Fundraiser: An annual celebration of Renewing the Countryside to cheers the work we've done AND raise funds 

Previous hosted events include:

The 2023 Farmland Summit brought together farm leaders, change agents, policymakers, and practitioners from around the upper Midwest to dig into critical challenges and opportunities related to farmland access and transfer. Participants gathered to learn, share, and connect around an array of issues such as financing, tenure, conservation, and transfer. 

In April 2021, RTC held the first-ever Home-Based Food Entrepreneur Virtual National Conference. This event provided four days of sessions and a networking platform. Recorded sessions are still available and a second event was held in 2023.

RTC hosted the fourth National Farm Viability Conference, a national gathering for creating resilient food systems and profitable food and farming businesses, in 2019.
